Bram Stoker & Dr James Browne

A really interesting thing that E. E. O'Donnell mentions in his book Father Browne: A Life in Pictures was how Frank Browne's brother Dr James Browne (the character in chapter 1 who sees Frank off at Waterloo Station) was the doctor who signed Bram Stoker's death certificate in a London hospital! The certificate supposedly read, "Locomotor Ataxy 6 months, Glanular Contracted Kidney, Exhaustion."

You can only imagine how the Browne brothers might have felt as they suddenly found themselves in quite a flurry of significant and macabre world events in the space of a week!
